PickMarin has had a couple super contributors to our fruit collections.  Thank you so much for your generosity.

Joanne from Greenbrae  115 lbs  of navel oranges oranges
Suzan from San Rafael 120 lbs of perfect juicing oranges
Beth from Corte Madera 50 lbs of amazing navel oranges

While 120 pounds is amazing the kids who brought in 5 lemons are making a difference as well.  Congratulations to everyone who is working to solve hunger in our community.

PickMarin has had tremendous response from the results of the Kent Middle School fruit drive and the Marin IJ article.  Thank you to all the great kids, parents and gardeners who made the first PickMarin event a major success for our community.

We have another school ready to run the second PickMarin fruit drive next week: details to be announced on Monday March 28.

There is still room to add more schools or community fruit drives before the end of citrus season.  Let us know if you would like help organizing.

BTW there is still time to plant bare-root fruit trees.  Apple, pear and plum trees will provide years of great fruit for a very modest upfront cost.  Invest in your community today by planting a tree.
